American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
AHIMA is a community of professionals engaged in health information management, providing support to members and strengthening the industry and profession.
 


 

American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA)
AMIA is a nonprofit membership organization of individuals, institutions, and corporations dedicated to developing and using information technologies to improve health care.
 


 
American Psychological Association (APA)
APA is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States. With more than 150,000 members, APA is the largest association of psychologists worldwide.
American Telemedicine Association (ATA)
ATA is the leading resource and advocate promoting access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology.
The Center for Connected Health
Formerly Partners Telemedicine, the Center focuses on extending the care community beyond the traditional walls of healthcare institutions by bringing healthcare to the everyday surroundings of the health consumer and their families.

 
Center for Health Transformation
The Center is dedicated to saving lives and saving money by helping develop and implement a 21st century system of health and healthcare.
 
Center for Information Technology Leadership (CITL)
CITL’s ultimate goal is to improve quality of care by focusing on the impact that Information Technology (IT) can have. Its main objective is to help healthcare providers make intelligent IT investments.
 

 
The Center for Information Therapy (CIT)
The CIT is developing the information therapy concept, delivering the right information to the right person at the right time, as the foundation for a patient-centered health care system.
 
Disease Management Association of America (DMAA)
DMAA is a non-profit, voluntary membership organization, founded in March of 1999, which represents all aspects of the disease management community.
 
eHealth Initiative
The Initiative and the Foundation for eHealth Initiative are independent, non-profit affiliated organizations whose missions are the same: to drive improvement in the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare through information and information technology.
 

 
eHealth Institute
Focused on the exploration of emerging technologies to improve the health and well being of all people, including the underserved.
 

Games for Health
A project that applies cutting edge games and game technologies to a range of public and private policy, leadership, and management issues.


Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS)
HIMSS is the healthcare industry's membership organization exclusively focused on providing leadership for the optimal use of healthcare information technology and management systems for the betterment of human health.
 
International Society for Mental Health Online
A nonprofit organization formed in 1997 to promote the understanding, use and development
of online communication, information and technology for the international mental health community.

The International Society for Research on Internet Interventions (ISRII)

A non-profit organization of researchers whose focus is on the development and testing of various web-based health treatment programs. The aim of the society is to promote exchanges of ideas and experiences among researchers involved in treatment/intervention research using the Internet.

The Markle Foundation

The Foundation works to realize the potential of emerging information and communication technologies by accelerating their use to address critical public needs, particularly in the areas of health and national security. Connecting for Health is a public-private collaborative within the Foundation that address the barriers to development of an interconnected health information infrastructure.
 

Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative
The Mission of the Collaborative is to improve the safety, cost effectiveness, and quality of health care in Massachusetts through the promotion of widespread implementation and use of secure and confidential electronic clinical information systems, including electronic health records, medical decision support, and clinical data exchange capabilitiees.
 

Massachusetts Health Data Consortium
The Consortium supports health policy development, technology planning and implementation, and improved decision making in the allocation and financing of health care.
 
Medical Records Institute (MRI)
MRI’s mission is to promote and enhance the journey towards electronic health records, e-health, mobile health, and related applications of information technologies (IT).
 
National Cancer Institute (NCI)
The NCI, established under the National Cancer Act of 1937, is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. Additional resources are available from the Health Communication and Informatics Research Division.
 

 
The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR), NIH
OBSSR’s mission is to stimulate behavioral and social sciences research throughout the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and to integrate these areas of research more fully into other areas within the NIH health research enterprise.
 

 
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP), HHS
ODPHP works to strengthen the disease prevention and health promotion priorities within agencies of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
 
Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM)
SBM is a multidisciplinary organization of clinicians, educators and scientists dedicated to promoting the study of the interactions of behavior with biology and the environment, and the application of that knowledge to improve the health and well being of individuals, families, communities and populations.
